SAIGON CENTRAL POST OFICE


Built between 1886 and 1891 by architect Villedieu and his assistant Foulhoux, Saigon’s main post office is indeed an architectural jewel. Its design encompasses European flair with Asian Cham motifs, bas reliefs, neo-baroque forms and ornamentation reminiscent of the third French Republic’s style.
Opening time: 7am to 7pm.
Local insight: Names of many historical figures are engraved on the outside of the building. Music performce in front every Saturday from 9am to 10.30am.
